This dish is picked up from my mother-in-law, with a little recipe modification.

Here are the simple ingredients needed.

INGREDIENTS (2 SERVINGS)

200 grams pork ribs

2 Tsp of cornstarch

Marinade

Dark soy sauce ... Small amount

Soy bean paste ... 2 Tsp

Salted plum ... 1

Cooking oil ... 1 Tsp

Raw sugar ... 2 Tsp

Minced garlic ... 2 Tsp

Minced ginger ... 2 Tsp

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Wash and pat dry pork ribs and then coat with cornstarch.

Coating cornstarch prevents too watery gravy when juices exuded from pork ribs during cooking process. It also makes pork ribs taste smoother.

2. Combine dark soy sauce, soy bean paste, salted plum, cooking oil, raw sugar, minced garlic & minced ginger in a bowl.

3. Mix marinade with cornstarch-coated pork ribs evenly.

4. Cover marinated pork ribs with food wrap and let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour.

5. Place marinated pork ribs in water-boiling steamer and steam for 1 hour over low heat.

6. Garnish steamed pork ribs with green onion, remove from heat and serve while it is hot.
